Sysorex Awarded Sub-Contract on $249 Million Army Enterprise IT Services Contract

Company will support Octo Consulting Group on U.S. Army Enterprise Information Technology Services contract

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Big data software solutions and infrastructure provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX) today announced it has been awarded a subcontract to support Octo Consulting Group, Inc. (Octo) on the $249 million Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract in support of the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS).

The Army’s PEO-EIS improves, expands and modernizes the Department’s global Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Intelligence (C4I) infrastructure to enable the Department of Defense (DoD) vision for a Joint Information Environment (JIE). As the primary requiring activity within PEO-EIS, the Project Management Office for Installation Information Infrastructure – Communications and Capabilities (PM I3C2) will leverage EITS to execute its mission of providing the warfighter with secure, reliable, survivable, interoperable and standards-based access to data, voice and unified communications.

AirPatrol joins the TELUS IoT Marketplace

Canadian telecommunications provider adds AirPatrol’s location-based mobile solutions to its Internet of Things online market

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Sysorex (NASDAQ:SYRX) subsidiary AirPatrol Corporation, which develops mobile device detection and locationing systems, today announced it has signed TELUS (TSX: T, NYSE: TU), Canada’s fastest-growing national telecommunications company, to resell AirPatrol products via the TELUS Internet of Things (IoT) Marketplace. The agreement, effective immediately, enables TELUS to offer AirPatrol’s mobile device security platform, ZoneDefense, and its location-based services system, ZoneAware, to business customers throughout Canada.

AirPatrol’s core Zone technology is built on a network of paperback book sized sensors that can be mounted indoors or outdoors. The sensors “listen” for the radio frequencies regularly broadcast by cellular phones and WiFi devices and, based on the emissions pattern and location, can uniquely identify and locate a mobile device within a few feet. If the mobile device has an app registered with AirPatrol Zone platform, that app can trigger special security policies, deliver content, and interact with other devices based on factors such as the location, personal preferences, privacy and security policies and proximity to others.
