Summer swoon continues: Print advertising extends June’s decline

PALO ALTO, Calif. – August 18, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Sysorex Ad Trends print advertising report for July 2016 which showed declines in print advertising placements in every one of the top six categories. Retail advertising had the steepest decline, dropping more than 17% from June, while both Personal Services and Dining & Entertainment declined nearly 15% from the previous month. Real Estate and Construction / Home Improvement ads, which had shown increases for most of the first half of the year also declined by more than 10%. Auto & Vehicles Sales ad placements, which have been falling steadily for more than 12 months had the smallest decline, dropping just .3% from June.

Summer swoon: Print advertising declines across the board

PALO ALTO, Calif. – July 13, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Sysorex Ad Trends print advertising report for June 2016 which showed significant declines in print advertising placements in every one of the top six categories. Auto & Vehicle Sales ads fell for the fourth consecutive month, dropping more than 13% from May, while Real Estate ended five months of gains with a 12% decline in ad placements. The remaining top four categories also experienced month-to-month declines ranging from 3% – 8%.

Real estate holds steady, construction home improvement ads make big gains

PALO ALTO, Calif. – June 13, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Sysorex Ad Trends print advertising report for May 2016 showing a gain of slightly more 12% in the number of construction and home improvement ads versus April. Retailers also ramped up advertising with a month-to-month increase of 5.8%. Personal Services, Auto & Vehicle Sales and Dining & Entertainment all saw small declines, while Real Estate advertising had its fifth consecutive monthly increase.

Real Estate logs 4th monthly gain, auto advertising down more than 11%

PALO ALTO, Calif. – May 12, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Ad Trends print advertising report for April 2016. The number of newspaper advertisements in four of the top six categories declined from March with auto & vehicles sales ads falling by over 11% — more than the three other losing categories combined. Real Estate advertising remained a bright spot, with ad volumes climbing a little more than 7% over March. This is the fourth consecutive month Real Estate advertising has increased.

In like a lion: Construction and Home Improvement advertising roared back in March

PALO ALTO, Calif. – April 13, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Ad Trends print advertising report for March 2016 showing month-to-month growth in all six major categories including a hefty 23% increase in Construction / Home Improvement. Overall, print advertising in March was up an average of nearly 9% from February and notched a more modest 2% gain from March of last year.

Print advertising shows growth across the board from January

PALO ALTO, Calif. – March 10, 2016 – High performance analytics software and solutions provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), today released its Ad Trends print advertising report for February 2016 showing solid growth from January in five of the top six newspaper ad categories nationwide. Real Estate and Retailer advertisements showed the largest gains from January, growing nearly 10-1/2% and 12% respectively. The only category with a decline was Auto & Vehicle Sales which dropped slightly more than 2%

“February is a short month and the middle of winter, so we would expect to see lower total ad counts,” said Michael Lynch, vice president for Sysorex’s Shoom services. “I think that fact that there was a healthy recovery from January, and a year-over-year increase in total ads from last February, shows that advertisers are feeling a more confident.”

Double digit moves: Retail, Dining and Entertainment Ads Decline, Real Estate Grows

PALO ALTO, Calif. – February 10, 2016 – According to big data software solutions and provider Sysorex (NASDAQ: SYRX), the number of print advertisements placed in the nation’s newspapers in the month of January declined substantially from December in two of the top six advertising categories while a third category registered a double digit increase. Nationwide, newspapers experienced a nearly 30% decline in retailer and 14% decline dining and entertainment ad categories. At the same time, Real Estate advertising increased by almost 14.5% while the remaining three categories experienced only modest changes in ad placements.
